As I pulled into the full parking lot around 1pm, I got a good feeling. Walking into the dimly lit small room all eyes turned to me. Yup, I was the only dark spot among my Mexican cousins but that was just another good sign to me! Ordered the birria tacos that I've been wanting to try all summer and in ten mins and $10 later, I was out the door. I'll tell you now, mid first bite my inner voice said, "I'm so grateful" Tender goat meat, gooey cheese wrapped up in crispy corn tortillas ...honey yes! I could only eat one for lunch (very filling and rich) I reheated the second for supper and it was just as good. Totally worth the price! The accompanying soup (consume') did its job and along with the cilantro, onions, squeeze of lime and, roasted salsa!!! Yes, yes and, yes. I'll be back.

Ok so we went on a Sunday and it was packed! It is an old building very small with limited seating there is no hostess to sit you down so you kinda jus wait for a table to open up. Be prepared to sit elbow to elbow with someone else, and yes it's very hot and humid they have no A/C just fans. Also if you go on Saturday or Sunday their will be musicians playing at the tables. Very loud so be prepared. We didn't get to order untill about 20 minutes but we realized we had to wait to get the menus because no one gave them to us so that's why no one bother to check on us. Didn't bother me at all I was enjoying the live music for free. Once our waitress took our order it took another 20 minutes for our food to come out but once again cause we didn't have a server cause they didn't give us the menus. The food made up for it though. I ordered the Birria plate which is goat stew and it was amazing probably one of the best I had here in Texas. Comes with hand made tortillas cilantro and onion and lime so that you can make yourself tacos from the goat meat. My girlfriend has the molcajate which is a big lava rock that gets heated up and the add chili chicken shrimp cheese and nopales. Over all the seating situation and the servers could be more inviting and the service as well, but the food makes up for it so I would definitely come back again. This isn't your regular Mexican restaurant there is nothing Tex mex about it it's an authentic place. If you can put up with everything in the beginning you will leave very satisfied.

Very authentic Mexican food known mostly for their goat meat stew & molcajete that comes with chicken, steak, shrimp, nopal, queso fresco, longaniza, chile toriado & onion all served with a side of salad & rice and beans! I warn you though it's really busy on the weekends but worth the wait

Great authentic Mexican food, Zacatecas style. The food and service is as good as the place is small. Bring your appetite with you. If you're really hungry order the molcahete. It will fill you up and warm you up too. A cold beer or three to keep things from getting too hot. I found this place while riding with a friend who knows the owner from Mexico. They cater, too. I am surprised he hasn't enlarged the place; he will always be able to fill it up.

So the area is a bit sketchy but.......the barbacoa tacos are so delicious! The tortillas were handmade and the barbacoa was delicious. I'm pretty picky when it comes to barbacoa but I highly recommend their barbacoa tacos.
